Today we celebrated World Down Syndrome Day (Saturday, March 21) by wearing crazy mismatched socks! 🧦💙
Chromosomes are what make each of us unique. Most people have two copies of each chromosome, but individuals with Down syndrome have three copies of chromosome 21. That’s why World Down Syndrome Day is celebrated on 3/21 each year!

What another AMAZING Family Math Night we had! 🎉
A huge thank you to H-E-B Indian Springs for hosting us and supporting our students and families. Our students walked around the store solving real-life math problems using actual H-E-B food items, and they absolutely loved it!
Experiences like this remind us that math isn’t just something we do in a classroom… math is truly everywhere! 💚
So grateful for our families, teachers, and community partners who make nights like this possible!

In the fall of 2012, Michala Wunderlich began her teaching career at Coulson Tough as a 5th grade Language Arts and Social Studies teacher. Though teaching was her second career, she embraced it with a passion that was truly contagious. Her students and teammates loved her deeply.
After Michala passed away unexpectedly during her first year, her husband, Brent Wunderlich, established the Michala Wunderlich Memorial Endowment in her honor.
Thank you to the Montgomery County Community Foundation and the Coulson Tough PTO for continuing to support our first-year and transplant teachers as they create meaningful learning spaces for our students. Her legacy continues to make a difference. 💛

🥶❄️ Huge shout-out to our assistant principals for handing out Spotlight badges this morning in 20-degree “feels like” weather. Absolutely nothing gets in the way of making our Spotlight Ceremony successful and right on plan. Thank you for always going above and beyond! 🌟👏

All grade levels had an opportunity to experience a session with Troy Cummings today. He was interactive, shared with students about illustrating, brainstorming writing ideas and he issues them a challenge. If you purchased a book for Troy to sign those will be delivered to students over the next 2 days. He signed over 200 books today between his sessions!

These 6th grade Titan musicians represented Coulson Tough very well this weekend at the 2026 6th Grade Honor Orchestra and Honor Band Concerts at the newly renovated Bock Auditorium. Mrs. Lee, Mr. Ruano and Mr. Kinsel are very proud of these students who went the extra mile to practice for these special events. Great job Band and Orchestra! 💚🎶
